THE STUDENT FIRST!
Does that moment in the first year of faculty when you started “to take your life seriously” and considered that you began a stage where you should decide your professional future sound familiar?
Quite a burden to think of, isn’t it? Going to lectures and seminars, but it was not quite clear what to do in the spare time. All students go through such times, and this is why we are here: to support and to give you tips&tricks for a more valuable professional route.
STUDENTS’
REPRESENTATIVES
The 6,000 students of the “Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad express their opinions and interests through their representatives who inform the management upon them. There are more ways to be represented in the leading structures, depending on the level.
AT UNIVERSITY LEVEL
In the highest leading body, the University Senate, one quarter of the members is formed by students’ representatives, just like at the faculties level. Thus, the decisions at University level are not taken without also considering the students’ interests.
AT FACULTY LEVEL
One can elect one or more students as representatives for each Faculty. Any full-time student, with good marks, may run in the elections for students’ representatives in the Faculty Council.
These representatives have to participate in the Faculty Council regular meetings and to inform the Faculty Council members on your opinion. This is to be seriously taken under consideration by the school, as the representatives are no less than a quarter of the total number of members in the Faculty Council, thus no decision may be made without their consultation.
